CCT Staff have Arrived in Tacloban

Our two staff who went down to meet with Pastor Ed in Tacloban have arrived. With online and phone airplane ticket bookings impossible, they went straight to the airport to book and jump on a flight, but that too proved useless. They decided to head to the bus station to take the long journey by road and ferry to Tacloban.

We are happy to report that they have been united with Pastor Ed and his family, and they have begun the search for staff relatives and our partner churches there.

They reported that it is very difficult to find food and water in Tacloban, but as of now, they are able to secure food in Calbayog, the town that Pastor Ed's relatives live and where Pastor Ed and his family are temporarily staying. Our two staff are also staying at Pastor Ed's relatives house as well.

Pastor Ed's wife is coordinating a daily cooking effort in Calbayog where they are staying (and where they can still purchase food), where she and other people in the community are preparing meals that Pastor Ed and the two CCT staff will take daily into Tacloban. On Wednesday,we are sending a medical mission team with CCT doctors and nurses as volunteers to help meet the medical needs of the community there. They will also be taking down medical supplies and medicines that they have reported are needed.

Please continue to pray for the Philippines.
